Garibaldi Road Information Point
GRIP
The New Forest Clipstone Village Project opened a community information point at a former newsagent's shop on Garibaldi Road, Forest Town.
The centre, called Garbaldi Road information point (GRIP), provides details on a wide range of public services, as well as photocopying, fax and IT facilities for local people to use.
Work started to convert the newsagents in February 2003, with funding from Nottinghamshire Community Foundation, Mansfield East Area Assembly, Leicester Housing Association and the Home Office Active Communities Unit.
Just over two months later, GRIP is decorated, fully furnished and kitted out with IT equipment.
People can access information on services including Citizens Advice Bureau, Welfare Rights, Travelwise, Environmental Health, Maun Valley Credit Union and County Contact
