People from Market Warsop, Church Warsop, Meden Vale, Warsop Vale, Spion Kop and Sookholme have formed a Village Company.  The Village Company has brought together a number of organisations and will bring a focus to delivering projects to regenerate the area.  The Village Company, which is known as Warsop and Villages Enterprise Society (WAVES), was established on 25th January 2002.

WAVES is run by volunteer directors from all villages within the parish of Warsop.  It is the village representatives that make up the majority of the board.  Other volunteers include representatives from the business and voluntary sector, Warsop Parish Council, Mansfield District Council and Nottinghamshire County Council.

Any adult who lives or works in Warsop parish can be a shareholder with a £1.00 share for life.  A shareholder will be able to attend general meetings and vote for board members and on key decisions.  All the information about WAVES is totally open and available for access by the local community.
